Kathleen "Leenie" Rabach's Obituary
Kathleen “Leenie” Rabach, age 49, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 19, 1965 in Muskegon to Frank and Kathleen (McAuliffe) Parsons. Leenie worked as a social worker for Hackley Hospital for 17 years before taking early retirement in 2007. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and was on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Irish Music Festival. She had also been a member of the Women’s Division of the Chamber of Commerce and Service League. Leenie enjoyed spending time with friends, watching hockey, listening to Irish music, and traveling to Florida and Ireland. But most of all, she loved being with her family. On May 30, 1992 she married Thomas Rabach in Muskegon and he survives her along with 2 children: Kaitlyn and Colin Rabach both of Norton Shores; father: Frank Parsons of Muskegon; brother: William “Willie” (Bridget) Parsons of Muskegon and their children, Sarah (Bobby) Mills and Jon Parsons; brother: Francis J. “Frankie” Parsons of Muskegon; sister: Mari (Stan) Parsons of Sebastian, FL and their children, Skylar Parsons and Hayden Viviano; and godmother, Christina Duignan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Parsons and godfather, Patrick “Joe” Duignan. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place 2:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2015 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with the Rosary prayed at 4 PM.
