Kathleen L. "Kate" Rhoades' Obituary
Kathleen L. “Kate” Rhoades, age 58, passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, July 30, 2016. She was born in Flint, MI on October 14, 1957 to the late Irving Dale Rhoades and wife Thora, and had moved as a family to the Muskegon area in 1967. An honors student at Muskegon High School, Kate graduated from Central Michigan University. Reading was a beloved hobby and Kate amassed amazing information, always passing on helpful hints and tid bits. In later years, Kate worked at various establishments in Muskegon, making a host of friends that she treasured deeply. Kate is survived by her daughter, Kaitlin Meyer; mother, Thora (husband, Tom Gill) Rhoades; sister, Dr. Kelly (husband, Jeffery Dumler) Rhoades and their daughter, Allison; brother, Kevin (wife, Julie) Rhoades and their daughters, Kate (Dave), Kasie (Clint). A CELEBRATION OF KATE’S LIFE will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Polish Falcon Club (1014 W. Hackley Ave.). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the family to help defray funeral expenses or to the Noah Project.
