Kathleen Rowley's Obituary
Mrs. Kathleen Rowley, age 76, of Spring Lake passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at home. She was born May 5, 1946, in Grand Rapids, to George and Catherine (VanStrien) Brouwer and graduated from Union High School. She married John Rowley on August 23, 1968.
Kathleen was a registered nurse who worked at many offices and hospitals over the years, but primarily worked at Providence Hospital in Southfield before retiring. She and John were very active in their church community in all the places that they lived. After living in Arizona for the last 15 years they were happy to move back to Michigan and call Spring Lake home. Kathleen enjoyed golfing and pickle ball, playing Mahjong with her friends and going to parties and gatherings. She enjoyed traveling to all 50 states and 30 foreign countries to meet people and explore their cultures. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, John; two children, John (Kari) Rowley of Basalt, CO and Deborah (Scott) Clark of Grand Haven; four grandchildren: Hayden, and Macy Rowley, and Alonna and Nolan Clark; siblings, Carol (Jay) Piper and Ken (Jane) Brouwer; sisters-in-law, Janette Brouwer, and Carol Nies and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom and Harvey.
A celebration of life will be held 4:00 – 6:00 PM Monday, August 8, 2022, at Noto’s at the Bil-Mar in Grand Haven (1223 S. Harbor Dr. Grand Haven, MI 49417).
