Mrs. Kathleen A. Schaefer's Obituary
Mrs. Kathleen A. Schaefer, 78, passed away early Monday, December 27, 2021, in Muskegon. She was born April 3, 1943, to Herbert and Doris (Hiller) Schaefer in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident. Prior to starting a family, she worked at Grossman's department store in downtown Muskegon, and Misco (Howmet). On December 5, 1964, Kathleen married John W. Schaefer in Muskegon (57 years), and he survives her along with three children: John (Theresa) Schaefer, Jennifer (Louis) Myers, Jeremy Schaefer; grandchildren: Zachary Schaefer, Simon Myers, Mason Myers, and Aubry Myers; brother William “Bill” (Peggy) Schaefer, sister Sheila (William) Baldwin. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Edna McCastle. A time to visit and gather with the family will be Monday, January 3, from 5-7 PM at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441.
