Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Szczesny's Obituary
Kathleen Ann “Kathy” Szczesny, age 71, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Trinity Health – Muskegon Hospital. She was born January 15, 1954 in Muskegon to William and Kathleen (Arcioni) Link and lived her entire life in the area. On November 5, 1977, she married Thomas S. “Tom” Szczesny in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2021. Kathy was currently employed as a clerk for Wesco. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she attended Mass at St. Mary of the Woods Chapel in Lakewood Club. She had also been an alto in the church choir at one time. Kathy was currently on the Victim’s Services for the Muskegon County Sherrif’s Department where she had volunteered for several years. She was past president of the Women’s Bowling Association and was inducted in the Bowling Hall of Fame. She also had recently been a volunteer for the Kid’s Food Basket in Muskegon. Kathy enjoyed traveling and trips with her daughter, Heather. Survivors include her 3 children, Heather Rousell, Michael Szczesny, Thomas S. Szczesny, Jr., 4 grandchildren, Austin Rousell, Bryan Rousell, Elvis Szczesny, Bella Bailey; 3 brothers-in-law, Victor Szczesny, Paul (Denise) Szczesny, Raymond (Sandi) Szczesny; 1 sister-in-law, Irene Szczesny-Narowitz; and several nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Tom and her parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1110 Dykstra Road, North Muskegon, MI 49445, with Rev. Fr. Godfrey Onyekwere presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
