Kathy had such a servant's heart in leading and instructing the swim program at Fruitport Community Schools. We have greatly missed her and will continue to miss the impact she left here.
I am sure she has influenced hundreds of others right here in Fruitport through her kindness, gentle instruction as needed, and he willingness to see obstacles as opportunities.
I am so grateful for the time we had with her at Fruitport. From pre-schoolers to senior citizens, there is a void in our hearts. She will be missed greatly.

I first meant Kathy at the Fruitiport School pool aerobic class. We had an instant bond. I had the pleasure of meeting Bear and loved the her stories about him. We have lost a great woman/person My condolences to her parents and Ron. She will be forever missed.

Kathy was one of the nicest, kind hearted people that I had the pleasure of meeting while attending Elliott back in 1998/1999. She was so easy to talk to and always willing to do what she could to help. She thought for sure my oldest son would be born on her birthday, unfortunately he was born 4 days before. She still spoiled him!! Thank you Kathy for all you've done. Rest In Peace.
Love,
Jackie, Joe, Hunter, Alex & Gracie Spangler.
To all the Anderson family:
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your wonderful daughter and sister. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Oh, how I remember her teaching my boys to swim! Her love of water and children was so evident, it was palpable.
May God wrap His loving arms around you as you grieve your loss and bring you peace.
I am a lap swimmer. Today I swam my laps in memory of Kathy. With our love of the water and swimming, Kathy and I met while employed at the Grand Haven Y.M.C.A. I was, at that time, also the director of the Summer Learn To Swim Program in Fruitport. Once again Kathy was a great instructor and helped many little ones become safe swimmers. When I moved to Florida in 2006, I passed the torch onto her, knowing she would take over the program and would do an excellent job. With her love of the water and for swimming Kathy will always be remembered for her instruction, touching those who went on to become great swimmers and for keeping Lake Michigan safe. May God wrap is loving arms around your family, strengthening your sorrowing hearts, giving you peace, grace, and love. Sincerely, Kathy (Zonnebelt) Barth.
