Mrs. Kathryn "Kathy" Witt's Obituary
Mrs. Kathryn “Kathy” Witt, 66, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior in heaven Friday evening, March 30, 2018, in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born July 28, 1951 to John and Elsie (Hekman) Kredit in Modesto, California. She was a CNA and dietary aid at Bethany Christian Home in Ripon, California. After moving to Michigan in 1978, she worked cleaning homes until 2015. She was a member of Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, an active volunteer for the Sheldon Park Neighborhood Association, and numerous Muskegon Christian School fundraising activities. On August 4, 1973 Kathy married Kenneth W. “Ken” Witt who passed away on January 25, 2018. She will be missed dearly by her entire family; her 3 children, Amanda (Jared) VanZwaluwenburg, Megan (Michael) VanderLaan, Jared (Ashley) Witt; 5 grandchildren, Jeff, Brendan, Owen, Kyle and Kennedy; brothers, Robert (Gretchen) Kredit, John (Louise) Krediet; sister-in-law, Sharon (David) Krediet; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elsie Kredit; brother, David Krediet; sister, Judi Collins; niece, Janelle Krediet; and nephew, Brian Krediet. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held at the Sweet Shoppe located in the lower level of Fricano’s Place, 1050 W Western Ave, Muskegon, Michigan on Thursday, April 5 from 4-7 PM.
