Kathryn B. White's Obituary
Kathryn B., “Kay”, White died peacefully September 21, 2011 at Oak Crest Manor, Spring Lake, where she was a resident. Kay was born on January 4, 1922 to Paul C. and Magdalena B. (Frey) Braunschweiger in Toledo, Ohio. She married Robert T. White on June 25, 1943. At the time of Bob’s death on September 9, 2010 they had been married 67 years.
Kay was a graduate of Woodward High School and attended the University of Toledo where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She was an accomplished bridge player with interests in art, golf, and bowling in her younger years. Kay and Bob enjoyed an active social life and were longtime members of the Toledo Country Club and the Toledo Club. She is survived by her son, Randall Allen (Ann) White; grandchildren, Chad (Amy) White of Spring Lake, MI; Leigh Rebone of Spring Lake, MI; Dawn (Jeff) Auch of Montague, MI; and Hilary (Ivan) Meiring of Elmhurst, IL; great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Vaughn White, Peyton and Taylor Rebone, Isabelle and Greta Auch; niece, Emily A. (Jon) Brown of Sparta, MI and nephew, Gary H. Palm of Chicago, IL, who knew her affectionately as Aunt Peewee. Internment will be at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Ottawa Community, MI or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, as well as Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio.
