A short paragraph is not enough space to tell the world how I feel about my "Kappy Lou", (a nickname she picked up from "Edwina",an old southern belle customer) The day we met in 1971 as young bank tellers at Muskegon Bank and Trust, our souls were instantly bonded. She was proud to be one of "Alice's Girls" from the Peck Street branch of the bank, surviving bank robberies, jokes, pranks and more fun than people should be allowed to have at work! She would delight in telling anyone about the first day we met; when we got our wires crossed and I slammed her fingers in the teller drawer! How we could laugh about such an awful thing, I'll never know, but we did..hysterically! We were instant and inseparable friends..for 37 years.
Laughter, tears, and practical joking. Kap, we'll reminisce again someday, about giving kittens CPR,booga-booga, the doot-to-doo, peep-peep,Nadine Noodle Soup, knocking on your windows when you were reading those spooky books, Edwina, Russell in your garden, and all the fun times we had.
You were my rock. And I admired you for your devotion to Del and the girls.
As the poem says...
"I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you". You made me a better person. Good-bye my soul-mate....for now. I##imported-begin##Deb Hyde##imported-end##
