Kathy Joy Blomquist's Obituary
Kathy Joy Blomquist, age 65, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, at home. She was born January 27, 1951, in Grand Haven to Ivan and Maggie Mae (Clement) Simpson.
Kathy was the owner of KCB Cleaning Company in Grand Haven. She was a member of the Grand Haven Eagles Aerie # 925, enjoyed cooking, gardening, snowmobiling, and the beach.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Becky (Mike) Mattson of Grand Haven; and grandson, Dean Mattson of Grand Haven; lifelong friend, Kathy Riley; and three nephews: Tim Simpson, Scott Simpson, and Robin Simpson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosanne Simpson; and brother, Vernon Lee Simpson.
A celebration of life will be held from 5 pm – 8 pm at the American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post # 28 on Friday, May 20, 2016. The family would like to thank Robbinswood Assisted Living, Hospice of North Ottawa Community, and Senior Resources for the wonderful care that they provided for Kathy.
