Kathy J. Jolman's Obituary
Kathy Jo Jolman, age 69, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Monday, November 10, 2025. Kathy was born in Muskegon, MI, to Wallace and Dorothy (Maxim) Walicki on April 22, 1956. She graduated from Fruitport High School and went on to graduate from cosmetology school. On June 28, 1974, she married John Jolman Jr, and the two of them spent 51 wonderful years building their family together. She was a cosmetologist before working with John running their business, Jolman Fleet Service.
Kathy was a passionate quilter; she was part of the “Patchers at the Lakeshore” quilting group as well as her quilting bee groups in Muskegon. She was also skilled at natural fabric dyeing and enjoyed using the fabrics in her quilting designs. She enjoyed traveling with John, especially wilderness camping and fossil hunting out West. She was a strong, positive woman who was always accepting of others. More than anything she loved her family, and she was very proud to be a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John Jolman Jr; two children: Matthew Jolman and Melissa Jolman; four grandchildren: Fortune, Paschal, Collin, and Pierce; brother, Jim (Brenda) Walicki; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald (Maria) Walicki.
