Kathy S. Kendra's Obituary
Mrs. Kathy Sue Kendra, age 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 9, 1954 to Burton and Dolores (Marshitto) Blackmer in Muskegon. A lifelong resident of the area, Kathy married James Kendra on October 21, 1972 and the two were blessed with 37 years of marriage before he passed away in 2010. Kathy loved spending her time with her family. She and her three sons spent countless hours fishing together and she absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathy will be missed by her sons, James (Dawn) Kendra II, Jeremy (Amanda) Kendra, and John (Belinda Fenner) Kendra; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Cheryl) Blackmer and Dave Blackmer; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Blackmer. Along with her husband, Kathy was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dale Blackmer; sister, Sandy LeWallen; Grandma B.; and in-laws, Stan and Betty Kendra.
