Kathy A. Martin's Obituary
Mrs. Kathy Ann Martin, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 15, 2021 following a long battle with cancer. She was born on November 25, 1943 to Howard and Dorothy (Eble) Kreifeldt in Muskegon. A lifelong resident of the area, Kathy was a manager for White & White Healthcare for several years. She married Robert W. Martin on March 12, 1980 and spent 41 wonderful years together. Kathy was an avid sports fan and enjoyed traveling. Most importantly was the time she was able to spend with her loving family and friends. Kathy is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Sheryl (Jeff) Vanderlinde and Laura Adkins (Kris Layson); step-children, Randy (Nan) Martin, Rob (Kelly) Martin, Ronda (Glenn) Dennis and Rick Martin; grandchildren, Holly (Trevor) Mertens, Katie (Jared) Taylor, Carly (Michael) Boss, Evan (Paige) Adkins, Kyle, Colin & Cameron Layson, Nick (Brenda) Martin, Kelly Martin, Jenny Martin, Cassandra Blair (Jason), Daniel Dennis and Kaylynne Dennis; seven great-grandchildren, Matthew, Nora, Ashley, Tim, Becca, Zac and Maddie; sister, Missy Forester, sister-in-law, Gayle Kreifeldt, brother-in-law, Jim Leiter, and well-loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Sally Leiter and Mike Kreifeldt. A Private Family Service will be held. The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Cancer and Hematology Centers of Western Michigan and the many healthcare providers who gave Kathy such good care and friendship over the years.
