Katie Kalinowski's Obituary
On Sunday, September 13th, 2020, Katie Kalinowski, beloved daughter and loving mother of two girls, passed away at the age of 31.
Katie was born August 30th, 1989 in Muskegon, MI. She attended Mona Shores schools and went on to have two beautiful girls, Mya and Carmen Vellenga.
Katie loved the water and had a passion for animals and the environment, but her greatest love was that of her daughters. She is known for her infectious smile and quirky spirit.
Katie was preceded in death by grandparents, Ted and Doris Kalinowski. She is survived by her two daughters, Mya and Carmen (Bryan Vellenga), mother, Michelle (Bill) Morse, father, Mike Kalinowski, grandmother, Dr. Stella Dial, grandfather, Tom Mikkelson, brother, Thomas Woodland (Melissa Demorrow), sister, Sarah (Mike) Pendell, cousin and best friend Marci Maynard, special friend Tim Phongkhamtay, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to especially thank Marci who photographed and shared many precious memories that captured Katie’s vibrant spirit throughout their childhood. The family would also like to thank those who offered love, prayers, and comfort through this difficult time.
