Mrs. Kay Ellen Deuster's Obituary
Kay Ellen Deuster, age 76, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at a local hospital. Kay was born June 2, 1943 to Otie and Pearl (Wierengo) Cross in Muskegon. She was a 1961 graduate of Muskegon Heights High School. On February 23, 1963 Kay married Leo M. Deuster. She was employed by GTE as an accountant and instructor for 25 years, retiring in 1989. Kay was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, The Muskegon Genealogy Society and Friends of Mona View, where she helped with the upkeep and also helped in identifying and honoring of veteran’s graves. Kay will be missed by Leo, her husband of 56 years; her children, Michael Deuster and Mandi (Todd) Grosvenor; special daughter, Shelly Morningstar; special grandchildren, Zach, Kayleb and Skyler; brother, Alan (Kathy) Cross; and several nieces and nephews; and longtime family friend, Rillastine Wilkins. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
