Kay Marie Wingett's Obituary
Mrs. Kay Marie Wingett, age 85, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 14, 2020. She was born in Manistique, Michigan on September 28, 1934 to Andrew and Genevieve (Nelson) Faketty. Kay worked for Muskegon Piston Ring for 30 years prior to her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Tatra Hall and was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and had served as past-president of the Altar Society. Kay loved puzzles and enjoyed playing cards. On August 1, 1953, Kay married William E. Wingett in Muskegon and he preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by two children, Sandra K. (Michael) Davis and Bradley J. (Cindy) Wingett; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie (George) Berry; and sister-in-law, Mary Wingett. In addition to her husband, Kay was preceded in death by two sons, William A. Wingett and Mark A. Wingett; sister, Dolores Wingett; sister-in-law, Kathleen Reeths; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Wingett and Jack Wingett. Due to Covid-19 and concerns with social distancing, a PRIVATE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated for Kay at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS in memory of Kay may be directed to the Harbor Hospice Foundation or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
