Keegan Broyce Harp's Obituary
Mr. Keegan Broyce Harp, age 24, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 21, 2020 at his home in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on August 21, 1995 to Lonnie and Donna (Hammerle) Harp. Keegan graduated from Fruitport High School, class of 2013, and was active with football, track, and cross country. He was a member of All Shores Wesleyan Church and was a certified personal trainer. Keegan loved life and made it his priority to consistently better his own life, while inspiring others to better themselves. He started each day with devotions and a morning run. His friend group was expansive, his personality was passionate, and his smile was contagious. He was generous, thoughtful, and helped create, organize, and lead free community fitness classes. He enjoyed snowboarding, jet skiing, hiking, and traveling. Keegan also loved to travel and had done so quite extensively. Keegan was injured in a snowboarding accident in 2017 and suffered a severe brain injury. Following his accident, he lost the ability to do many of the things he loved, however, he never lost his love of life, his contagious smile, or his positive aura. Keegan is survived by his parents, Donna Hammerle-Harp and Lonnie Harp; three sisters, Dawanna (Ryan) Overweg, Kali Harp, and Sarah (John) Sheahon; nieces and nephews, Austin, Megan, and Kammi Jarvis and Jason White; grandparents, Irma (Les) Heese and Deb Harp; aunts and uncles, Joe Hammerle, Dara (Brenda) Hammerle, Darlene (Louie) Main, John (Kris) Hammerle, Kelli Heese, Leslie Heese, Shelly (Marvin) Lorenz, and Robert (Wendy) Harp; many loving cousins, and his special fur family, Hoagie, Hank, Hal, Bo, Millie, and Kona. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Hammerle and Barbara and Lonnie Harp, and his dog, Nova. A CELEBRATION OF KEEGAN’S LIFE will be live-streamed from All Shores Wesleyan Church at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 2, 2020. His family will be available outside of church from noon-1:45PM for a drive-through visitation. You are then encouraged to park in the church lot and help celebrate Keegan’s life by attending his service via a mobile device from your vehicle.
