Keith Aaron Lehmann's Obituary
Keith Aaron Lehmann, age 40, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 18, 2019 at his home. Keith was born July 16, 1978 in Muskegon to Timothy R. and JoAnn (Hazekamp) Lehmann. Keith was a Muskegon Community College graduate and studied Public History at WMU. He had worked with Peckham for the last several years as Technical Service Representative. Keith enjoyed Japanese Pop Culture and Cosplay; founded and led the Anime and Asian Culture Club at MCC; was active in multiple groups including JFAX (Japanese Animation Film and Art eXpo) and SSKaizokuCon. He also enjoyed Civil War reenactment, was a member of The Third Michigan Infantry, Company F reenactors; having traveled to Gettysburg this past summer. Keith was also a gamer and a photographer who attended and documented ArtPrize. Keith was a member of AA, loved the Muskegon Alano Club and had more than 6 years of sobriety. A giver and a very sweet person who loved being with his family, Keith will be cherished and missed by many including his father, Tim; his grandmother, Nancy Hazekamp; his stepfather, Pat Corbin; his cousins, Wolfgang Schmaltz, Niabi Schmaltz, Elspeth Bretton and Anne Morack; and several aunts and uncles. Keith was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Corbin; his grandfather, Paul Hazekamp; and grandparents, Walter and Margaret Lehmann. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Covenant Community Church, 134 E. Barney Ave. with Rev. James Foster and Rev. Miriam Bush officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (10-11AM). MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Anime for Humanity. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
