Keith Edward Mortland's Obituary
Keith Edward Mortland, age 33, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at his home. He was born January 20, 1989 in Lorain, OH to David L. Mortland and Diane M. (Szukala) DeRose. Keith was a 2007 graduate of Reeths-Puffer High School. He worked 18 years as a cook for his father’s restaurant – The Northside Sports Page. Keith was an avid U of M Sports Fan. On April 30, 2022, he married Missy Scott in Spring Lake. He is survived by his wife, Missy; 2 step-children, Kayleigh Scott, Jordan Ginem; his parents, Diane (Paul) DeRose, David (Tammy) Mortland; his maternal grandmother, Marlene Szukala; his twin brother, Kyle Mortland; his sister, Lisa (Lee) Smith; 2 nephews, Zayden and Logan Smith; and his beloved dog, Belle. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Peter Szukala; his paternal grandparents, Earl Mortland and Eleanor Daugert. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2023 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442 with Rev. Dr. William J. Rudd officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery.
