Kelley G. "Killer" Vorac's Obituary
Mr. Kelley Gene “Killer” Vorac, age 66, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2004. He was born in Ludington, MI on July 29, 1938. After high school graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country overseas. He attended Ferris Institute, graduating in 1963, and moved to Muskegon where he became a Patternmaker. He served as board member and president of Patternmakers of North American and IAM Unions. He was an avid golfer who played for the Patternmakers League, Mona Lake Boat Club, and the Vikings League. He also enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and skeet shooting. “Killer” belonged to Pulaski Lodge, Viking Lodge, Lakeside Vets, Lakeside Eagles, Lithuanian Club, Polish Union Lodge, American Legion, and was a life time member of the Falcons Lodge. He greatly enjoyed traveling to attend the births and first birthdays of all eight of his grandchildren. He is survived by his mother Margaret Vorac of Ludington; 3 daughters, Kellynn (Brian) Bruns of Davison, MI, Kaylene (Ray) Woo of Gainesville, FL, and Kathlene (Rob) Connor of Richmond Hill, GA; 8 grandchildren, Madison, Jana, Reagan, Mason, Jordyn, Braden, Mollie, and Carsyn; his ex-wife Patricia Vorac of Muskegon; Uncle Toby Neimier of Pentwater, MI; Aunt Helen Jensen of Ludington, MI; nephews, cousins and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father Harry, and one daughter Kari Lynn. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Friday at The Walburn Chapel,Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 5-8 PM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Vikings Scholarship fund in care of the Viking Lodge of Muskegon would be appreciated.
