Paul Boxer
While I was earning my masters in educational leadership from GVSU, I had the privilege to job shadow Ken for three days. I was immediately moved by his intelligence, wisdom, wit, compassion, and competitiveness. In just a few days of working with Ken, I learned more about education, high school athletics, student-athletes, competition, and life in general than I did during four years of college. He shared so much of his wisdom with me! Above all, I saw a man whose entire life was firmly rooted in gratitude and built on a foundation of trust in God's grace and mercy. It was evident that faith, family, and Fruitport were his top priorities in life! What an inspiring role model he was for both student-athletes and fellow educators! May Ken rest eternally in the Heart of our Heavenly Father, where all things are made new, and nothing in this life is in vain, lost, or forgotten. And may the peace of God that passes all understanding be with the Erny family and their loved ones in these coming days and months. Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with the Erny family in this time of great sorrow.
