Kenah S. Sorenson's Obituary
Kenah Sue Sorenson was born on July 2, 2005, to Sara Stark (Torrey) and Andrew Sorenson. At 7 months old she was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Zellweger Syndrome. Doctors said that her prognosis would not exceed past a year, and that the short time she had left, Kenah would be in a vegetative state. God had other plans and provided her with 19 years. Although Kenah had some very difficult days, months and years, she also had some wonderful ones. Kenah learned and did many things the doctors said she would never do. She learned to say “Mama” and “Dada,” loved to play peek-a-boo and clapped her hands along to the song “If You’re Happy and You Know It”. The people closest to her could say or do certain things that would make her laugh hysterically. She was always humming and making her famous “Kenah noises” with a smile on her face. All that Kenah ever knew was love. She touched so many people that knew her, and her story in ways nobody else could. Kenah’s purpose was fulfilled, and the Lord took her home on August 27, 2024, as she was surrounded by loved ones. Kenah is now free of all her pain and disabilities. She will be greatly missed.
