Kendal Lynn Church's Obituary
Kendal Lynn Church, age 11, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 25, 2021 at her home from complications of epilepsy. Kendal, along with her twin brother, were born on March 31, 2010 in Muskegon to Clint and Erica (Leonard) Church. She was diagnosed with epilepsy at 6 months old, and although she was never able to talk or walk, Kendal was full of personality. She was a strong and brave little girl, and despite all the medical tests and procedures she endured, she never complained or showed pain. Kendal’s compassionate heart was evident through her love for her family, for animals, and her love of cuddles and snuggles. She enjoyed walks with her family and numerous activities including riding motorcycles, snowmobiles, and tubing. Kendal’s favorite color was pink, and she loved having a bow in her hair. Kendal is survived by her loving parents, Clint and Erica Church; twin-brother, Kaden Lane Church; sister, Chazlyn Marie Church; grandparents, John and Deb Leonard Sr., Molly and Ed Funderburg, and Dennis Church Sr.; great-grandparents, Wayne and Sandy Mast, Jim and Jan (Church) Flannery, Linda (Leonard) Faino, aunts and uncles, Lindsay Leonard, John (Chelcie Macomber) Leonard Jr., Dennis Church Jr., Travis Church, Rebecca Davey, Ashleigh Church; great aunts and uncles, Karla and Kerry Wood, Jeff and Sandy Mast, Brenda Leonard; and cousins, John, Winston, Kollen, Jaydence, Jaidon, Jaxson, Karter, and Benjamin. Kendal was preceded in death by her grandparents, John W. Leonard, Rose (Leonard) Snider, Raymond John Church and her great-aunt, Brenda Mast. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE OPEN HOUSE will be held from 6-8 PM Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
