Kenneth A. Deephouse's Obituary
Kenneth A. Deephouse, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. He was born on December 19, 1937 to Gerrit and Virginia (Holcomb) Deephouse in Grand Haven. Ken served in the Army National Guard. During his work life Ken worked for Kaydon and Columbus Mckinnon (Lift Tech). Ken was a faithful and active member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on cars, attending antique car shows, and walking the shores of Lake Michigan. Ken will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth Deephouse; children, Susan (Brian) Bellamy, Jane (Brent) Robbins, Brian Deephouse; grandchildren, Kendra, Tristan, and Chesney Robbins; brother, James (Chiko) Deephouse; sisters-in-law, Betty Deephouse and Elizabeth VanNoordwyk. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, William Deephouse. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Kenneth will take place on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church (4861 Henry St.) at 12:00 PM with Pastor Mary Ivanov officiating. VISITATION with Kenneth’s family will take place one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. For a more lasting memory, donations in Kenneth’s name can be made to either the Lake Harbor United Methodist Church or Temple United Methodist Supper House.
