Kenneth Michael "Mickey" Ford Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Kenneth Michael “Mickey” Ford, Jr., age 78, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015. He was born in Muskegon on July 25, 1937 to Kenneth and Elsie (Means) Ford, Sr. Mickey achieved rank of Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and was a Bronze Star recipient. He served his country for 21 years, including one tour in Vietnam and two tours to Okinawa before his retirement. After his service to his country, Mickey, along with his wife, Patty, owned and operated P & M Janitorial Services for 30 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mickey enjoyed model trains, reading, gardening, NASCAR, baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers, and loved his cats and dog. On October 30, 1964, Mickey married the former Patricia “Patty” Bogden in Great Falls, MT and she survives him along with their children, Kenneth M. Ford, III and Kathleen M. (Pete Walsh) Ford; sisters-in-law, Sarah (Jim) Price, Sharon Fox, Andrea Massey, Mary V. Worthy, Johnetta Neumann and Ethel Ford; brothers-in-law, Thomas, David, and Michael Bogden; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles W. Ford and brothers-in-law, John and Daniel Bogden. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Antony Britto presiding. VISITATION will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with the ROSARY prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will also be from 10-11AM Thursday prior to Mass. Burial will be in East Hesperia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
