Kenneth E. Lange's Obituary
Mr. Kenneth E. Lange, age 77, of Grand Haven passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Trinity Hospital after a short illness. He was born September 20, 1946, in Saginaw to Edward and Alice (Palin) Lange. Ken worked for the United States Postal Service for 28 years before retiring in 2003. Ken was also a military veteran, and was stationed at the Pentagon during the Vietnam war.
Ken loved to learn, and particularly enjoyed military history, botany, and Japanese culture. He spent a great deal of time in the woods learning about wilderness survival and studying which native plants were edible. You would often find him watching trivia game shows, or a classic Disney movie. He loved to share his knowledge, stories, and flashlights with everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his two sons, Scott (Katherine Mayberry) Lange, and Nick Lange; sister, Karen (Jack) Bigford; cousins: Kim, and Kurt Makarewicz, Kay (Jim) LaMay, Bud (Barb) Palin, and Bill (Nancy) Palin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Alice and his former wife and friend, Karen Lange.
