Kenneth H. Muston's Obituary
Kenneth H. Muston, age 97, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 3, 2022. He was born June 8, 1924 in St. Louis, MO to Loel and Leta (Budd) Muston. Ken served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was wounded and captured in the landing invasion at Anzio Beach and spent thirteen months in a German prisoner of war camp until liberated at the end of the war. Ken was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was also a charter member of the VFW #7729 Derezinski Post. Ken worked for Teledyne Continental Motors as a machine operator for 43 years prior to his retirement. On March 16, 1946, he married the former Constance “Connie” VanBrocklin in Muskegon. He was a member of the former Samuel Lutheran Church, enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, bowling, and spending time with family. Ken is survived by his wife of 75 years, Connie; children: Kenneth H. (Marilyn) Muston, Jr., Cynthia (Michael) Baker, and Donna (Mark) Cross all of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother-in-law, John TerBorg; sister-in-law, Bonnie Woodard; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters: Geraldine McAuley and Phyllis TerBorg; and 2 brothers: James and Donald Muston. A CELEBRATION of Ken’s LIFE will be held 12 Noon on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the VFW #7729 Derezinski Post (6285 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442). VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lakeshore Quest Ministries (5351 133rd Ave., Hamilton, MI 49419).
