Kenneth Obenauf Jr.'s Obituary
Kenneth Obenauf, Jr. of Muskegon, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 10, 2020. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan, on June 20,1936 to Kenneth Obenauf, Sr. and Edith (Abbott) Obenauf Johnson. After attending Fremont High School, he served two years in the United States Marine Corps near the end of the Korean war. He married Barbra Jean (Anderson) Obenauf on April 7,1955 until her passing in May of 2014. Ken worked for 30 years as an inspector at Sealed Power HyLift (Johnson’s Products) Division before retiring in 1996. He was a faithful member of Central Assembly of God in Muskegon, Michigan. He had a compassion and burden for Western Michigan Teen Challenge as he devoted time after retirement to help people recovering from addiction. He prayed for and helped many on their path to find salvation and healing in Jesus Christ. Ken is survived by his daughter Pamela (Scott) Hansen and granddaughter Cassondra Hansen of Norton Shores. He was preceded in death by an infant son Gregory Obenauf. He is survived by his stepfather Marcus Johnson of Laketon Township, brother James (LaRae) Obenauf of Las Vegas, NV, and sister Nancy (Orville) Johnson of Laketon Township and nieces, nephews, and many cousins. There will be a celebration of Ken’s life and message of salvation at Muskegon Central Assembly of God at a later date.
