Kenneth T. Ploughman's Obituary
Kenneth T. Ploughman, age 90, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born April 21, 1926 in Belding, MI to Theodore and Elva (Barnett) Ploughman. Ken served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. On February 22, 1947, he married the former Shirley Cole in Muskegon. He was a dedicated worker for Anderson Pattern for 43 years prior to his retirement and was a charter member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. Ken enjoyed spending time with his son, Fred, restoring their 1926 Model T. He was also an accomplished woodworker. SURVIVORS include his wife, Shirley; 3 children: Barbara (Carl) Black of Ravenna, Joan Vriesman of Spring Lake, Fred (Kathy) Ploughman of Norton Shores; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way in March. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Gabriel Vriesman; sister, Dorothy Ploughman; and brother, Bruce Ploughman. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church (4861 S. Henry St.) with Rev. Mary Ivanov officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place later in Egelston Twp. Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Lake Harbor United Methodist Church Memorial Fund will be appreciated.
