Mr. Kenneth Richard Stewart's Obituary
Kenneth Richard Stewart, age 86, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday May 3, 2016. Ken was born on June 28, 1929 to Raymond and Jennie Stewart. In 1949 he married the former Patricia Miles and together they enjoyed 66 years of marriage. He received his education from Sacred Heart, St. Mary’s Schools and Muskegon Heights High school. Ken served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Guam. After his military service he and Patricia raised their family in Twin Lake MI. In 1994 they retired to Apollo Beach Florida. Ken was a retired electrical motor repairman for Jones and Hall Electric Companies. He attended St. Anns Catholic Church in Ruskin FL. Ken enjoyed traveling to northern Michigan but what brought the most joy to him was always his family. He was a simple man with good honest values. He was a witty and generous man, and a faithful and loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed. Ken is survived by his wife Patricia; children, Cindy (David) Plank, Ralph (Julie) Stewart, and James Stewart; grandchildren, Lori, David, Ryan, Derrick, Kyle and Kristine; great grandchildren, McKenzie, Leah, Lauren, Autumn, Ashlyn and Aubrey; sister, Dorothy Stewart; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond Stewart; and sister, Ruthie Smith. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held on Tuesday May 10, 2016 AT 11AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 150 E Summit Ave. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the start of the Mass. Memorial Contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Muskegon Catholic Education Foundation.
