Mr. Kenneth R. Sweet Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Kenneth R. Sweet, Sr., age 76, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in Muskegon. He was born in Grand Rapids on July 20, 1938 to Leo and Pauline (Gee) Sweet and had lived most of his life in Ionia before moving to Muskegon in 2013. Ken was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of the Ionia Moose #998. He had worked for General Motors for 27 years before his retirement. On September 1, 1962, Ken married the former Letitia A. Smith in Traverse City and she survives him along with three children, Kenneth (Teresa) Sweet, Jr., Kevin Sweet and Kimberly (James) Beattie; four grandchildren, Andrea (Lee), Jennifer, Laura and Clayton; one sister, Janice Sweet and two brothers, Richard Sweet and Stephen Sweet. A CELEBRATION of Ken’s LIFE will be held from 1-3 PM Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Ionia Moose #998. MEMORIALS may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
