Kenneth "Ken" Theisen's Obituary
Mr. Kenneth J. “Ken” Theisen, age 81, passed away Wednesday evening, July 24, in Muskegon. He was born October 26, 1931 to John L. and Leona M. (Boucher) Theisen in Muskegon, and was a life-long resident of this area. Ken served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a hoist department manager at Jones Electric and Hall Electric, retiring in 1992. An active member of the Catholic Church, he participated in many ministries throughout his lifetime. Ken had a terrific sense of humor and an endless supply of stories to share – particularly about his childhood. On November 26, 1955 he married Jean M. Beecham, and she survives him along with 3 children, Thomas (Sue Fisher)Theisen of Grand Rapids, Penny Johnson of Muskegon, Paula (James) Kendra of Spring Lake; 3 grandchildren, Christopher and Elizabeth Johnson, and Grace Kendra. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Eugene and Clement; 2 sisters, Muriel Terrien and Gwendolyn Clark. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated Monday, July 29, at 2:00 PM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Marian Chapel, with the Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding.
