Kenneth H. Barnhill's Obituary
Mr. Kenneth H. Barnhill, age 66, passed away Monday, March 27, 2006. He was born April 24, 1939 in Muskegon to Howard and Blythe (Archer) Barnhill and was a life resident of the area. On November 20, 1965, he married the former Lauretta Ann Zagaroli and she preceded him in death on September 4, 1996. Ken worked many years in the title insurance business and later worked over 20 years as a sales representative for Culligan Water retiring in 2002. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. SURVIVORS include his 3 sons, Kevin Barnhill of Grand Rapids, Christopher (Kristin) Barnhill and Charles Barnhill of Muskegon; his only grandson, Alexander Barnhill, who affectionately called him “Bompa”; his mother, Blythe Fox of Norton Shores; 2 brothers, David (Janice) Barnhill of Tipp City, OH and Gerald (Linda) Barnhill of Spring Lake; his aunt, Roxie Kruzona of Muskegon; many cousins, including Nancy Sobish and John (Mary) Allen of Muskegon; his special friend, Lorraine Friese of Grand Haven; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his wife, he was also preceded in death by his only daughter, Marissa Lynn Barnhill in 1980, and his father in 1968. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church (1110 Dykstra Road) with the Rev. Fr. Robert A. Hart presiding. INTERMENT will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION with Ken’s family will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442, (231) 726-5210. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass, 10-11 AM Thursday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church (1110 Dystra Rd., North Muskegon, MI 49445). In lieu of flowers, you are asked to consider Prince of Peace Catholic Church Building Fund or The Poppen Hospice Residence of Muskegon-Oceana.
