Kenneth L. Medema's Obituary
Mr. Kenneth Lee Medema, age 73, died early Wednesday morning, November 2, 2005. He was born May 26, 1932 in Muskegon to Melvin and Pauline (Verburg) Medema, and had been a life resident. Mr. Medema worked 42 years for Shaw-Walker before retiring. He was a member of Bethany Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed painting, drawing, and traveling. SURVIVORS include 2 brothers, Robert (Sharon) Medema of Laketon Twp., Gordon (Carole) Medema of Alto, MI; sister, Carol A. (Donald) Doorn of Muskegon; 5 nephews, Steve (Carol) Medema, Tom (Cindy) Medema, Chris Medema, Sam Medema, John Medema; 4 nieces, Linda (Jay) DeYoung, Jane (Jim) Zwiers, Ginny Medema, Jessie Medema; and 13 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, David Doorn. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Monday at Bethany Christian Reformed Church with Rev. David Sieplinga officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Sunday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,737 Apple Ave.,(231) 726-5210.
