Kenneth W. Sanford's Obituary
Kenneth W. "Ken" Sanford, age 73, died Tuesday, October 14, 2003. He was born May 11, 1930 in Shelby, MI to Clare and Jessie (Bearse) Sanford and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. On March 17, 1967, he married the former Mary Jane Gannon in Muskegon, MI. Ken was a truck driver for over 50 years, retiring from Central Transport in 1994. He was an excellent carpenter and all around fix-it man. Ken is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; son, Ken (Allison) Sanford; daughter, Dr. Susanne Sanford & husband, Brock Dana; sons, Steve and Jerry Schiller; 5 grandchildren, Audrey, Wade, Blake, Andrea Sanford, and Kyler Dana; 2 sisters, Sally (Dick) Simmons and Betty (Lyle) Cheever. He was prededed in death by 1 brother, Wayne Sanford and 1 sister, Dorothy Kreager. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, with the Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. INTERMENT will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. VISITATION with Ken's family will be one hour prior to the service on Friday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the American Cancer Society or Muskegon County Catholic Education Foundation.
