Kenton Nolan Greening's Obituary
Mr. Kenton Nolan Greening, age 52, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 after fighting a courageous 8-month battle against melanoma. He was born December 7, 1956 in Lansing to Foster and Marlene (Baker) Greening. He received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Michigan State University and began his career as an engineer in 1980 having worked for Howmet and Lear Corp. For the past 3 years, he worked for L-3 Communications Combat Propulsions Systems in Muskegon. He enjoyed fishing with his friends on his boat in Lake Michigan, traveling, music, reading and tending to his flower gardens. SURVIVORS include his parents, Foster and Marlene Greening of Lansing; 2 sisters, Lori Greening of Estes Park, CO, Jan Chappell of Haslett, MI; his nephews and nieces, Caleb and Jacob McCartney, Claire and Alayne Chappell; and his sweetheart, Sarah Gibbins of Cedar, MI. In keeping with Kenton’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
