Met Kevin in 1978 while stationed with the Coast Guard in Muskegon. He beat me so many times in cribbage that I thought he figured out how to cheat! Came to my wedding in th UP also. Truly a prince...many laughs & memories. I guess it’s true; only the good die young. Fair winds & following seas old friend.

I was wondering why Kevin hasn't been in to Sporting Goods at Walmart picking up the deals after hunting season. Very friendly guy. Love to hear of his adventures. Will be missed.

Condolences on the loss of our beloved friend and brother Kevin. 5' 20" of Nice Man. He now rests eternally in the loving embrace of the Lord. Either that or he'll be forever paddling the whitewater section of the River Styx, racing the devil to the bar from Hell. Kevin was a great friend. We shared many canoe and hunting trips together. He always enjoyed sharing a good story and laugh around the campfire at night and was very knowledgeable about the stars. We hunted together with friends many times near Higgins Lake where he had hunted as a boy with his father. In many ways Kevin was a big kid. On a 2009 November deer hunt, an exceptionally warm year, Kevin saw my son's baseball equipment in my truck and thought we should have a game of catch to make the hunt unique. The next year we had snow like normal.
