Kevin Ray Hutchison's Obituary
Kevin R. Hutchison, of Muskegon, MI, passed away peacefully at his home on October 11, 2025, at the age of 69.
Kevin was born on May 22, 1956, in Muskegon, the son of Kenneth and Mildred Hutchison. A proud graduate of Muskegon High School, he went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy. Following his military service, Kevin built a long and dedicated career with the United States Postal Service, from which he eventually retired.
On June 20, 1985, Kevin married the love of his life, Tresa Halasinski (Wood), and together they shared 40 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and companionship.
Kevin was a man who appreciated the simple pleasures in life. Whether cheering on Michigan football, enjoying time at the Polish Union with a KENO ticket in hand, or spending quiet moments with family and friends. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and the time he spent with them brought him his greatest happiness.
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Tresa Hutchison; daughters, Kristy Hutchison, Natalie Soful; and stepsons Kevin (Jaclyn) Wood and Eric (Elena) Wood. He was a proud grandfather to Dakota, Shiann Aria and Alexis, and great-grandfather to Emery, Amity, and Luca. He is also survived by his sister Karen Tovey, and brothers Jim, Gary, and Brian Hutchison.
He is reunited in peace with his parents, Kenneth and Mildred Hutchison, and his brother, Chris Hutchison.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, a celebration of life luncheon will be held by the family at the Polish Union, to be announced at a later date.
Arrangements through The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI. 49444. Please consider signing the family’s online guestbook and share memories at https://sytsemafh.com
