Kevin M. Mason's Obituary
Kevin M. Mason, age 45, left this life unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. He was born on February 4, 1977, to Robert Mason and Joy Marcellus in Grand Haven, Michigan. Hobbies he enjoyed were reading, graphite drawing, fishing, and spending time with his friends and his dog. He was always mechanically inclined and shortly after high school built his blue step side pickup truck from scratch. He had a deep love of all animals and cared for any who crossed his path with empathy and compassion.
In his professional life, Kevin was co-owner of Straight Eye Woodworking in Grand Haven with his product being displayed in the Parade of Homes over the course of several years. During his time in Gulfport, Mississippi, he was a supervisor working on multi million dollar yachts at Trinity Yachts. He was a leader and friend to his crew while there.
Kevin is survived by his devoted mother, Joy (Art) Marcellus – Patten; loving sister, Lori Metzler; loving brother, Scott Mason; loving sister, Chris Crawford; and his beloved dog, Eli. Kevin is preceded in death by his fiancé, Katie Polk; and his father, Robert Mason.
Kevin will be buried at Lakeshore Cemetery in Grand Haven. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
