Kevin L. Molenkamp's Obituary
Kevin died peacefully after complications from two serious illnesses on Feb 23, 2024, at Trinity Health Hospital in Muskegon.
Kevin lived in the Spring Lake area all of his life. When not there he was enjoying time at the cabin, up north.
He loved being on the water, whether it was fishing, kayaking, canoeing or ice fishing. He was also an avid hiker and would like to hike solo and sleep in a hammock deep in the woods.
He was a very talented wood worker and had his own business for the better part of the last 30 years. Many of his masterpieces can be found from Holland, up the lakeshore to as far north as Ludington. People went to him for what they could dream up but couldn’t buy.
He was never too busy for his family and thought the world of his 2 children. He was very proud of both of them and would often talk of their successes.
He leaves behind Linda (Silvis), his wife of 38 years. His daughter, Carly (Jesse) and his son, Joe. His beloved, furry companion, Yogi. He is also survived by his sister, Sue Collins (Tom), his brother, Robert Zuidema (Sherry), brother-in-law, Jim (Lolita) Silvis, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Molenkamp, his mother, Donna Zuidema (Hasty), his stepfather, Albert Zuidema, his brother, Eddie Molenkamp, Ed’s wife Shari and their daughter Angie.
