Khalid Nakeem Burt's Obituary
Mr. Khalid Nakeem Burt, age 22, departed this life unexpectedly on Friday, July 28, 2021. Khalid was born on April 11, 1999, to John Trotter and Tiffanie Burt in Muskegon, MI. He attended Muskegon High School in Muskegon, MI. He was employed by Village Baker as a cook and enjoyed working to support his children. Khalid enjoyed making jokes, playing basketball, playing his video games, fishing and spending time with his children, family, friends, and his dogs (Beam and Ace Boogie). He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Everyone loved Khalid and was drawn to his big personality, generous sense of humor and contagious laugh.
Khalid leaves to cherish in memories his children, Ka’Niyah Hairston, Da’Kylah Burt, and D’Nylah Williams all of Muskegon, MI; brothers, Kharuhl Trotter, Sabeer Trotter, K’Jaunye (Kristen) Trotter all of Muskegon, MI; sisters, Khalimah Trotter and Khaiyana Trotter all of Muskegon, MI; aunts, Kimberly Williams, Stephanie Long, Tonya Waire, Camille Franklin, Kashara Roberts; uncles, Richard Long, Don Longmire, Fred Longmire, Calvin Burt Jr., Calvin Kennebrew, Rayshaun Johnson, Kevin Chambers Sr. of Muskegon, MI; special companion, Denyia Hewlett of Muskegon, MI; special friends, Theresa Strother and Timothy (T.J.) Dodge, a host of cousins, relatives, and friends. Khalid was preceded in death by his grandparents, Calvin Burt, Maylia Burt, Willie Longmire; great-grandmother, Arlegia Long; uncle, Joie Trotter Sr. and Anthony Trotter Sr. and his best friends, Alton Williams, and Cameron Cooper.
A VISITATION for Khalid will be held from 4PM-7PM Thursday, August 5, 2021, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Muskegon, Michigan 49444. A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR KHALID will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 6, 2021, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, Michigan 49444.
