Kim M. Wahr's Obituary
Kim Marie Wahr, age 65, passed away in Cadillac, MI, on Sunday, June 8, 2025, following a brief battle with cancer. Kim was born in Muskegon, MI, to Charles and Lois (Houston) Smith on January 14, 1960, and she attended Muskegon High School. She married Michael Wahr on November 11, 1978, and the two of them greatly enjoyed their years together. Kim loved to cook, and it was something she made a career of for many years. She also loved baking and making candy, especially for her family. She loved raccoons and had a large collection of them decorating her home, and some of her favorite pastimes were playing Bingo and the Hee Haw slot machine at the casino. She could be a little stubborn at times, but she was a loving woman who always looked for ways that she could take care of the people around her.
Kim will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Michael Wahr; two children: Mike (Aleesha) Wahr Jr. and Sandy (Brad) Bates; eight grandchildren: Kallie, Shawna, Erin, Gabby, Gage, Kamryn, Jake, Jojo; one great-granddaughter, Saylor; three siblings: Mary Troyer, Ken Smith, and Robert Smith; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings: Chuck Smith, Janet Hern, and Walter Smith.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be taking place for Kim at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior.
