Kimberly Ann Schermer's Obituary
On Saturday, June 4, 2022, Kimberly Ann Schermer passed away at her home in Fruitport, MI. Kim was born on April 1, 1967, to her parents, Jim and Elizabeth “Ann” (Tucker) Powell, in Grand Rapids, MI. She lived in the Muskegon area for the last five years, working in a customer service role for Spectrum Communications. Kim loved to spend time in the sun, whether it was walking on the beach or driving in her convertible. Kim enjoyed cooking spicy Cajun food, especially crawfish, and she was an avid collector of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. She had a contagious laugh that her family will fondly remember. Kim will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Austin Schermer, Trevor (Brianna Monson) Schermer, and Breanne Schermer; grandchild, Ryder Joe Schermer; father, Jim Powell; brother, Jim Powell II; nephew, James Powell III; and niece, Jenna Powell. Kimberly was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Powell. No services are being held, but in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Muskegon Humane Society & Animal Rescue.
