Kory N. Lennon's Obituary
Kory N. Lennon, age 33, of Muskegon passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 23, 2022. He was born May 23, 1989, in Muskegon to Nick and Kim (Crawford) Lennon.
Kory grew up in West Michigan playing youth travel hockey, camping, and spending time outdoors with his friends and family. He graduated from Mona Shores High School and attended Western Michigan University studying Art. He was a free-lance artist, loved drawing animal portraits for friends and family, painting murals, and spending time with his friends. Kory was kind, gentle, loved playing the guitar, tennis, and long walks through Lake Harbor Park. He was a member of the Vikings Lodge Linne #57 in Muskegon.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Kim Crawford and father Nick (Denise) Lennon; sisters, Kendra (Jordan) Musselman and Jacy Nichols; grandmother, Louise Crawford-Potts; stepsisters, Amanda (Jason) Zylka and Emily (Porfirio) Garcia; stepbrother, Andrew Chase; four aunts: Kathy Crawford, Karen Crawford, Shelly (George) Segall and LeAnn (Paul) Grissom; three nieces: Grace Garcia, Madelyn Musselman and Avery Zylka; three nephews: Chase Zylka, Landon Musselman and Jack Garcia; cousins: John (Tami) and Lucy Korndorfer, Lindsey (Dave) and Lennon and Stella Lassanske, Rick (Carly) and Mara and Odin Korndorfer, Kyle Grissom and Kaitlyn and Kai Metcalf; and close friends with whom he shared his love of the outdoors and music with. He is preceded in death by grandparents: Leo and Anne Lennon, and John Crawford. Kory’s family would also like to extend their deepest gratitude to his entire team at HealthWest who worked with him and cared for him through the years as he battled tirelessly with his mental health and substance misuse. He wanted nothing more than to overcome his struggles and live a full and healthy life. He knew how deeply his family loved him, and that they never gave up hope. They were by his side every step of the way and had great respect for the way he fought this battle.
