Kristine R. "Krissy" Broughton's Obituary
Kristine R. “Krissy” Broughton, age 51, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 21, 1967 in Muskegon to Robert V. and Vicki E. (Grandelius) Broughton and lived all her life in the area. Krissy was a graduate of Wesley School Class of 1993 where she took great pride in being the Prom Queen. Krissy was also a member of the Goodwillies Bowling League. She loved her family and lived a very simple life. Krissy enjoyed her time on the backyard swing jamming to her favorite country music. Krissy loved slushies and the Olive Garden. Krissy impacted the lives of many and she will be missed by her loving family and friends. SURVIVORS include her parents, Bob and Vicki Broughton; 3 sisters, Mary (Lance) Broersma, Lisa (Barry) Haugh, Leann Broughton; nieces and nephews, Nathan (Megan “Maxi”) Broersma, Taylor (Bryce) Broersma, Hunter Broersma, Caden Broersma; Zach Haugh, Logan Haugh, Madison Haugh, Wade (Chelsea) Simpkins, Carter (Jordan) Simpkins, Paige (Tim) Simpkins; great nieces and nephews, Camryn, Reese, Blake, Mckynlee, Owen, Willow, Oaklyn, and Weston. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION will be held 5-7 PM Tuesday.
