Kristin Marie Hanis' Obituary
Miss Kristin Marie Hanis, age 22, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2005 at University Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born January 7, 1983 in Muskegon, MI to Thomas Paul and Carla R. (Hansen) Hanis and lived in the Muskegon area her entire life. Before her illness, Kristin worked at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken for 5 years and was very proud to have worked for one month with her dad at Hayes Lemmerz.
SURVIVORS include her parents, Thomas and Carla Hanis of Cedar Creek Township; her brother, Thomas Paul Hanis, Jr. and his son, Thomas Paul Hanis III; her maternal grandfather, Donald Hansen; her paternal grandparents, Shirley (George) Butcher and Norma Hanis. Kristin’s grandfather, Joseph John Hanis, Sr., whom Kristin had a special bond with, passed away the very same day in Texas. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Ethel Hansen in 1988.
Kristin will always be loved and cherished by her family and many friends. She fought a very courageous battle against her illness and inspired the many people she encountered at University Hospital. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with family friend, Rev. Fr. Donald Tufts presiding. BURIAL will take place at St. Michael Cemetery in Brunswick. VISITATION will be held 5-8 PM Tuesday at the
