Kurt M. Burmeister's Obituary
Kurt M. Burmeister, age 62, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. He was born July 28, 1957 in Muskegon to Leo L. and Joyce C. (Byer) Burmeister and was a lifelong resident. He married Charlene L. Keding in Muskegon on June 29, 1991. Kurt worked as a welder and in skilled labor for Consumers Power Company for 25 years and retired in 2005. Survivors include his loving wife, Charlene “Char” Burmeister; 1 brother, Corey (Sue) Burmeister, 2 sisters, Lisa (Tom) Bisson, Lesley Miller; his step-mother, Donna Burmeister; 1 brother-in-law, Roger (Sally) Keding; 1 sister-in-law, Gail (Terry) Thome; 1 niece, Jen Urban; and 1 nephew, Cody Burmeister. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 24, 2020 at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441 with Rev. Dr. William J. Rudd officiating. Visitation will be held 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery.
