Kyle Eugene Homik's Obituary
Kyle E. Homik, age 56, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, in Stanton, MI. He was born to Edward and Sandra (Shonamon) Homik on February 13, 1969, in Grand Haven, MI. After graduating from Grand Haven High School, Kyle went on to work in construction and eventually started his own company, Homik’s Custom Creations LLC, where he was a handyman and jack of all trades. On October 5, 2019, Kyle married the love of his life, Laura B. DeHaan in Coopersville, MI. Kyle was known for his involvement with AMA Racing, Vintage Husqvarna Motorcycles, Sand Drag racing in Silver Lake, MI and was on the pit crew for the drag racing team of Super Dave Adkins. While with Super Dave they were on Street Outlaws No Prep Kings. He also enjoyed taking care of his and Laura’s horse farm where he did a little bit of everything needed. Kyle loved having the greenest lawn on the street and would often be found sprinkling and mowing the lawn. He loved to tinker with his dirt bikes and his truck, finding ways to make them perform better. Kyle also loved music and had quite an eclectic taste. You always knew where he was because you could hear the music before you saw him coming! Kyle was always there to help others and showed kindness and generosity to everyone. He never said no to anyone, and he could fix anything! He gave the gift of life to others through being an organ donor. Kyle is preceded in death by his father, Edward Homik. He is survived in death by his wife, Laura Homik; mother, Sandra Homik; brother, Benjamin “Bing” (Lori) Homik; sisters: Andrea Trim, Lecia (Mark) Hatley and his special K9 friend Zuri.
