Kylie Lynn VanEtten's Obituary
Kylie Lynn VanEtten (Sprague) passed away on December 16, 2020 after being in a car accident. Kylie was born on January 25th, 1989 to Lois (Guikema) and Tom Sprague in Muskegon, Michigan. Graduating from Reeths Puffer in 2007, she spent her time in school as a cheerleader and working with the theater program. She was always fond of art programs, fashion, and reading. She married the love of her life, Joel VanEtten on February 24th, 2018 after being together for 5 years.
Living in Spring Lake, Kylie spent her time working in hospitality and customer service. She started as a front desk worker in Grand Haven, working along side her friends and family. She moved on and up quickly becoming a front desk manager at a property in Grand Rapids. In her free time, she spent playing video games, reading, shopping and cooking. Her friends and family often benefited from her great fashion tastes and cooking skills. Family meant a lot to Kylie and some of her favorite memories were of watching her brothers and daddy win checkered flags at the track.
Kylie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Anna Mary Guikema and Bonnie Jean Sprague. She is survived by her husband, Joel VanEtten; parents, Tom and Lois (Guikema) Sprague; In-Laws, Kevin and Dawn (Britton) VanEtten; brothers, Tommy Sprague and Andy Sprague; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves behind her 3 fur-babies, Kobuki, Diablo, and Phoenix.
There will be a private service at St Francis in Muskegon on December 29th for family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Heaven Can Wait and the Trevor Project.
