La-Von June Hansen's Obituary
Mrs. La-Von June Hansen, age 75, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2004 at her home. She was born December 10, 1928 in Shelby, MI to David and Dagna (Hetland) Burmeister and lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. She attended Black Creek Bible Church. La-Von spent a lot of time visiting people in hospitals and nursing homes. She collected dolls and enjoyed cooking and baking. She especially loved her dogs and cats. On October 11, 1947, she married Ernest Vernon Hansen in New Era and he survives her, along with her children, David ôTomö (Donna) Hansen of Twin Lake, Doris (Ronald) Fekken of New Era, Darrell E. (Sandra) Hansen of Dahlonega, GA; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers, David ôJackö (Wanda) Burmeister, John Burmeister, Gordon ôBusterö Burmeister all of Shelby, Robert ôJimö (Helen) Burmeister of Montague, and Donal ôButchö (Peg) Burmeister of Shelby; 1 sister-in-law, Fran Burmeister of Shelby; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and 1 brother. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210, with the Rev. Larry Bush officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Ferry Cemetery. VISITATION with La-VonÆs family will be 3-5 and 7-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Humane Society.
